Not everyone is lucky enough to have the gift of good health. Our dear friend and Wade Creek House member Carrie is one of those that has not been so lucky. Carrie has a rare incurable lung disease called lymphangioleiomyomatosis or LAM for short. Being rare, monies allocated for research are small so each year, across the nation, members of the LAM community including patients and their friends and families host fundraisers to help raise money for research and patient support. This is our SECOND ANNUAL CHAIRS FOR CHARITY FUNDRAISER. Here you will find chairs created by local artists and supporters that are donated and then auctioned off (via silent auction) with 100% of the proceeds being sent to the LAM Foundation.
The
chairs ARE NOW on display at The Wade Creek House with
the silent auction June 7th. If you are
unable to attend June 7th, but would like to participate we have made it
possible for you to submit an absentee bid.
On our form, you place your bid on the chair or chairs of your choice also
listing what your maximum bid would be at the close of auction. Example: Your initial bid is $25 but you
would pay up to $45. Using your
anonymous number, we will bid $25 on your chair. At 5pm on June 7th, if someone has beat your
initial bid but it is still less than your $45 we will bump up your bid for
you. We bid in $5 increments. Easy!!
