Flooding last night

An exciting evening. We saw on our neighborhood watch site that there was flooding upstream from Wade Creek House Antiques.  We went down and saw that Wade Creek was so full it couldn't fit under a bridge and was overflowing.  That water went cross country coming into our acre from the back. It went across the field, through the chicken yard, garden, in front of our entry, through the front yard then back over the bank into the creek in front of Wade Creek House.  With a little trenching and burm building, all the water stayed outside...as it should.  This is my fault, I just put beautiful hemlock  bark in the gardens..

APRIL 29th - THE ART OF COMPOSTING - 11am - 1pm $15

A great and informational class for the new or seasoned gardener. Linda feels that COMPOST IS THE HEART OF THE GARDEN. In this class you will learn how to make and use compost. History, why do it, what works, methods - bins, piles, and sheet composting. Hands on demonstration (weather permitting). Tales of experiences with hot/cold composts. Bring note taking materials and a container of one or more of the following IN SEPARATE CONTAINERS.. egg shells, coffee grounds, vegetable peels, grass clippings. Registration required.

APRIL 30th - Learn to make BATH SALTS WORKSHOP - 1p - 3p $15

JUST IN TIME FOR MOTHER'S DAY! A great class for ALL AGES.. this would be fun to do with your kids. You get to choose the scent of bath salts and once you make it, you get to use a vintage glass pint jar to store it in. A perfect gift for you or someone else. Registration required.

A special day for our family yesterday. . So precious, so perfect, a beautiful miracle... all 7 and a half pounds of her.  Grandma and Papa feeling blessed.

Girls Night Out

What a fun project. . I was away for a bit and missed taking pictures of projects and people...and then there were the pictures of my thumb that I will leave out.  Lol.  But I love GIRLS NIGHT OUT.   Next month we are making Farmhouse Trays... May 5th!

GIRLS NIGHT OUT. .

GIRLS NIGHT OUT,  this Friday,  April 7th from 1:30 - 8 pm

This Friday is GIRLS NIGHT OUT and we will have a little crafting going on.  Debi will cut, sand, and stain wood 4 inch squares and show you an easy stencil technique. All you have to do is decide what combination of words to use. Put together family names, inspirational or fun sayings. So much fun!  Of course there will also be sweet treats, door prizes, DISCOUNT SHOPPING, and don't forget friends! Payment is needed when you call to order your tiles and that can be done over the phone or at the shop. Deadline to order your tiles is tomorrow,  Tuesday April 4th at 6p.  Debi needs to have time to get your tiles ready. Each tile is $2,  just let us know how many you need to create your masterpiece.  So join us for crafting or shopping or both. We look forward to seeing you!

We begin our extended  SUMMER  HOURS  today.   We will be open Monday through Saturday from 10a - 6p and Sunday 11a - 5p through October.

You know that our Estacada Farmers Market opens the first Saturday in May here on the grounds around Wade Creek House Antiques.  TODAY is an informative meeting for anyone wanting to be a vendor, volunteer,  or just want to learn more about them.  Meeting is at 1 o'clock at the Estacada library.
