Many people know that the new place in town, The Mason Jar, was decorated with many items
purchased at The Wade Creek House. You can check out our post from the end of July to refresh your memory. So when a sign went on the door of The Mason
Jar a few days ago, we were asked about it. We don't know the story about the
closure but what I do know is that about 3 - 4 months ago, a friendly couple
came to town. They came from out of
state and wanted to start a business in the area. They came to look at Oregon City but fell in
love with Estacada. They had a dream, a
vision of what they wanted to do and set out to make that dream a reality. We got to know them very well as they
purchased many items from The Wade Creek House.
They opened their doors the end of July.
Color, energy, life flowed from those doors. You were greeted by name, you felt welcomed,
you were drawn to that positive energy.
You looked down the street and your eye was drawn their way. They became involved in the community. They had plans. Then something happened. The Mason Jar is closed. I don't know details but can't begin to imagine leaving anything you put so much of
your heart into. I feel heartbroken
thinking of the effort and enthusiasm that Amy and Mark brought to Estacada
that is now gone. If you are reading
this Mark or Amy, you are missed by so many.
