3 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW...

ONE  - tomorrow is Halloween and there is something new.  Have you heard about the meaning of the teal pumpkins?  With so many kids having allergies or sensitivities to certain foods, it makes Halloween hard for the kids who want to be part of the fun and for the parents who have to worry about what their child eats.  Seeing a teal colored pumpkin on a porch means that the place will be providing fun non-food treats to the little ghosts and goblins that come to visit.   WADE CREEK HOUSE ANTIQUES will have fun non-food treats for those kids with sensitivities AND candy for those who don't.   We think we will see more and more of these teal pumpkins in the future.  This means fun for everyone.

TWO - When you go to bed Saturday night, remember to set your clock BACK one hour.

AND THREE - Winter Hours begin November 1st at Wade Creek House Antiques..

GREAT DRESSER.

I love the soft look Sandra gave to this dresser. It has such a charming feel with its glass knobs and 10 great drawers. If I had this dresser, I would have it in my entry and I would tuck my seasonal decorations in the drawers to make it easy to change the feel of the entry throughout the year.   Of course, it would be great in a family room, craft room or in a child's room.  It is 42 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 35 inches high.  Where would you put this dresser?

A RARE FUN FIND..

Michele has this wonderful old cooler set.  Imagine it sitting on your front porch or entry.  Add a pumpkin and a couple corn stalks and instant fall décor.  OR out on your patio or deck as a coffee table full of ice and drinks.  OR the envy of your camping friends or soccer families when you bring it out full of snacks.  Such a rare find in this color and condition.  LOVE IT!

With the weather changing..

I get to thinking about soups, stews, and cold weather cooking.  Charlene has some beautiful old cast iron ware that will make cooking fun.  Cast iron cookware was very popular in the early 1900's  and continues to be sought after today.
